This project contains the visual representation of typography with the help of music. This project is simple but yet elegant in its own terms. The beats of the music are elegantly synced with the fonts and the colors. The colors of the project video are from the color palette of the famous bollywood movie “Golmaal Returns”. The song in this project is the title song of this movie. I have tried to maintain the excitement and beauty of this song by balancing the proportions of the colors, the weightage of the words through its fonts. The motive while creating this project was to balance the originality of the song itself.

Purpose

The purpose of this project was to explore the creative connection between music, typography, and color as a beginner. Using the title track from Golmaal Returns and its color palette, I aimed to create a simple yet elegant visual that syncs animated text with the rhythm and energy of the music.

Objectives

  • To learn the basics of motion graphics and kinetic typography.

  • To understand how fonts, colors, and timing impact visual storytelling.

  • To practice syncing visuals with audio beats.

  • To maintain the excitement and originality of the song through visual design.

  • To develop a foundational skillset in music-based video editing.

Given Design Brief

  • The design brief calls for the creation of a 30-60 second motion graphics music video utilizing shapes, text, and illustrations.
     
  • The pre-production phase will involve crafting a detailed storyboard, mood board, and animatics to establish the visual narrative, mood, and pacing of the video.
     
  • During production, emphasis will be placed on animation techniques to bring the storyboard to life, incorporating dynamic transitions, kinetic typography, and abstract shapes to synchronize with the music and evoke the desired mood.
     
  • In post-production, the final motion graphics will be assembled, fine-tuning timing, pacing, and visual effects for a seamless and impactful viewing experience.
     
  • Integration of music and sound effects will enhance the audiovisual immersion, ensuring the video effectively conveys the emotion and energy of the song.
     
  • Through meticulous planning and creative execution, the resulting music video will captivate viewers and leave a lasting impression.

The music and the lyrics of this song is adrenaline based, thus it needs to be understood  visually and then represented as a simple and yet elegant typography motion graphics video.
